- 2 cups water
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon orange peel, grated
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar (or use Spenda brown sugar blend)
- 2⁄3 cup grits, quick-cooking and uncooked
directions
- In a saucepan over medium heat bring water and orange juice to a boil.
- Stir in grits, orange peel and salt into water/juice mixture. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook stirring for 3-5 minutes or until thickened.
- Pour into serving dishes and sprinkle with brown sugar. Let stand until sugar melts.

<p>I love cooking and trying different foods, but my favorite cookbooks are now Weight Watchers or low fat/low cal cookbooks as I tend to try and make low fat/low cal recipes.
