Orange Honey Bread

"Craig Claiborne. The stronger the honey you are using the more pronounced the flavor on this recipe.its a very thick batter , i used 1/2 cup honey and 1/2 cup applesauce and came out fine ."

  1. I thought it would have been sweeter with the honey but it was still a good bread. I didn't have any orange rind so had to leave that out. It was a little on the dry side...maybe I cooked it took long. Made for Zaar 1-2-3 Hits Tag Game 2011.

  2. this is a lovely tea bread, but it was not as sweet as i expected, definitely had more of an orange flavor. i used freshly squeezed orange juice and a locally bottled honey. this was good served with butter and jam.

  3. The taste was really good but your instructions do not mention what size pan to bake this cake in so I baked it in a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. This is a very moist cake with lovely honey flavor. Thanks Dienia!..Kitten:)

  4. For honey lovers this is an excellent bread. I followed the recipe the first time and it is so good for breakfast or snacking, but it does have a strong honey taste. Thanks, Carole in Orlando
