1. Delicious, with a good strong orange flavor! I added 1 teaspoon lemon extract to the cake batter, and used 1/4 cup butter plus 1/4 cup veg oil. Frosted it with a basic buttercream substituting OJ instead of the usual milk called for, cream cheese for half of the butter, and added more orange zest which gave pretty flecks throughout the frosting. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because my cake came out a little crumbly/dry...this may have been my fault though as I slightly overbaked it. Overall everyone loved it & I'll make it again for sure!

 2. Really yummy! I only had enough fresh oj to make 1/2 a cup so I used 1/4 cup of lemon juice. I also added 1 tsp of vanilla and baked in a 9x13 inch pan and topped it with a lemon glaze. Will definitely make again. Thank you!

 3. Wow! This cake is easy to make and delicious. I might add a teaspoon of vanilla essence the next time I make it. Thanks for a delicious recipe. Can't wait for the family to get home from office / school and try my cake. They're going to love it!

 4. Nice cake! Made it for Christmas Eve function involving senior citizens (who can be picky about their cake and don't like them too sweet). All gone. :) I baked it in a 13 x 9 pan.

 5. I have to admit I am totally shocked on how fluffy this cake came out! I sent my son to the store for orange juice and he came back with orange drink. I used it anyway and added glaze on top by using the juice and powdered sugar. It was excellent. I used all the badder in one pan. It came out golden brown on top and so soft and moist in the middle. Thanks!

I'm a full-time student at a University of Wisconsin campus, with a double major in Sociology and History. I have three adorable children, ages 9 yrs, 5 yrs, and our 2 yr old son. My nine yr old is in third grade. My 5 yr old is is in kindergarten. My littlest one is pleasantly plump. ;) We also have 2 cats. My daughter recently joined recipezaar under the name Miss Bean I also really like sewing. I make @ 1/3 of my daughters clothes. Reading is also a BIG staple in my life. One of my favorite ways to find a book is to walk into the library, pick a shelf and simply grab a book at random. I've read so many great books I probably wouldn't have found out any other way. I also like to camp and fish with my DH. He eats, sleeps and breathes fishing. He would like to one day start his own company, he hand ties and sells fishing lures locally. And he loves my cooking and will try anything at least once. ;) He works as a pressman at a local printing company.
