“I have surfed all the food.com recipes and all I could find were orange waffles with bisquick, or orange waffles with lots of butter/oil. So I resorted to google and came across a recipe for tropical waffles (http://www.recipebridge.com/g/ODAzMzYxODo6Ojo2Ng==), and tailored it to my needs. The results were great, and I hope you enjoy!”

Directions

  1. Heat a waffle iron and lightly coat with nonstick canola oil spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
  3. In a medium bowl combine orange juice, egg, canola oil, orange zest, and vanilla and mix well.
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  5. Cook until golden brown or until waffle begins to separate from iron, I found it took about 4 minutes for my iron.
