  • 1 lb asparagus, ends trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger or 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F Place the asparagus in a shallow baking dish. Mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger together in a small bowl, and pour evenly over the asparagus. Toss the asparagus with your hands to mix thoroughly. Roast the asparagus for about 10 to 15 minutes, until bright green and just tender. Serve hot.
  • Makes 4 servings.
  • VARIATIONS:

  • This dish can be assembled and refrigerated up to 6 hours before cooking, and roast just before serving.
