1. Just used your recipe for dinner tonight and it was delicious. I stuck pretty close to your recipe, just substituted cayenne for the basil (we use cayenne in just about everything) and used basa fish. I was just making 2 filets, so I cut the recipe in half. As you suggested I used a brush to tap the butter on top and had some butter left that I didn't use. I cooked it exactly as the recipe suggeted and it came out fantastic. It was crispy and very flavourful. My husband says its a definite keeper. Thanks for the recipe.

 2. The taste of this fish was good and my son really loved it. I only gave it 3 stars because the coating was soggy and not as crispy as I would have liked.

 3. This is delicious! I leave out the lemon and sugar and just to the butter and spices. I use tilapia for the fish. Wonderful! My whole family loves it even my 6 yo twins and my fish-hating DH! I serve it with mixed roasted veggies and it makes a very health meal. Thanks for the great recipe!

 4. Very good fish! I used the dry breadcrumbs and we loved the lemony flavour with the other herbs. I used splenda instead of sugar and olive oil instead of butter, worked out just fine. Used basa fish fillets. I will be making these again, thanks for posting.

 5. I really enjoyed your recipe - I did make a mistake I didn't save any of the butter herb mixture to paint the fish as it baked. I used Corn Flake crumbs and it sealed in all the flavor so the fish remained moist and loaded with flavor - I used Haddock. Served with a corn cob - boiled 4 minutes (no butter), cauliflower & steamed carrots - Lovely meal thanks Audrey

I am a mother of three and live in central Pennsylvania. My children were very active in after school activities and found we weren't spending anytime together at meal time. In 1998, I decided to start cooking my dinners in a crockpot so that we could have a home cooked meal together once everyone came home. My children now get so excited to see what we are having to eat and love the smell when they walk in the door. My family calls me the crock pot queen. LOL I use my crock pot everyday of the year.

My three children are now in college and before they come home they request their favorite meal. I still continue to cook in the crock pot for my husband and I. It is nice after a long day to know your meal is ready. It also helps in keeping my grocery bill down. With zaar, I can print my shopping list and that is all I purchase is the ingredients on that list.

Now, my two daughters have been crock pot cooking while in college. They find it is easy to cook for the themselves and their friends. It is an easy way to have friends over for dinner after classes

I still love trying new recipes and purchasing cookbooks, especially crock pot cookbooks.

Happy Cooking!
