Ingredients: 2 lbs beef stew meat; 4 -5 medium potatoes, cubed; 6 carrots, 1 inch pieces; 1 cup celery, 1 inch pieces; 1 (32 ounce) can tomatoes with juice; 1 package frozen peas; 1 slice bread, cubed; 4 medium onions, cut in chunks; 4 tablespoons tapioca; 4 tablespoons sugar; salt and pepper; 2 beef bouillon cubes; 1/3 cup wine (or water)

2 lbs beef stew meat
4 -5 medium potatoes, cubed
6 carrots, 1 inch pieces
1 cup celery, 1 inch pieces
1 (32 ounce) can tomatoes with juice
1 package frozen peas
1 slice bread, cubed
4 medium onions, cut in chunks
4 tablespoons tapioca
4 tablespoons sugar
salt and pepper
2 beef bouillon cubes
¹⁄₃ cup wine (or water)

directions

Layer all ingredients in a large pot and cover.
Bake at 250 degrees for 5 to 6 hours.
