Oven-Roasted Asparagus

"Feel free to add Italian or Greek herbs for extra seasoning. I used some sicilian seasoning with the olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. I made 18 spears at once and just added a tablespoon of oil and adjusted the seasoning to suit. This was so tasty I couldn't stop eating it once it came out of the oven. Nice and crunchy and bursting with flavor. Recipe courtesy of about.com."

  • Get in there with your hands and smear it all over.
  • Bake for 5 to 10 minutes, until tender.

  1. I used dried oregano and dried lavender. It was very good. Thanks AmyZoe :) Made for Cookbook tag game

  2. These were simple to make and tasted great. I found I needed to cook closer to 20 min to get the right degree of crispiness.

  3. This was a great companion to our chicken breast tonight. You really can't go wrong with this recipe as it adapts well to any combination of herbs and spices you like. I also added 1/4 of a lime juice to the mix as well. Highly recommended--thanks for posting, AmyZoe! :)

  4. This is the ONLY way I eat asparagus now. This way it doesn't get all slimy and mushy. I can't believe I used to buy the asparagus in cans. Never again after tasting the oven roasted dish! Made for PAC Spring 2012.
