Directions

  1. Cut meat into 4 pieces.
  2. Mix flour and salt; pound into meat. Set remaining flour aside.
  3. Brown meat in hot shortening. Place in shallow baking dish.
  4. Blend flour with drippings. Add remaining ingredients except cheese.
  5. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Pour over meat;
  6. COVER and bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours.
  7. Top with cheese and return to oven until cheese melts.
  8. Serve with smashed potatoes and a green salad.
