  • 1 pint oyster, with liquid
  • 8 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup light cream, scalded
  • 3 cups milk, scalded
  • 12 teaspoon paprika
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • pepper

  • Simmer oysters in butter and oyster liquid until edges curl.
  • Add cream and milk.
  • Heat to boiling, season with paprika, salt and pepper.
  • Serve at once.
  • "With oyster crackers".
