Here is a wonderful sandwich to eat on a hot day! Big-super filling, healthy, attractive, and easy to assemble. I made as posted except with half of the sauce and that seemed adequate to us. We also had fewer bacon strips and that was fine too. Next time I will put the cilantro into the sauce. I made this with Recipe#292051 as we do not have a Panera's within 130 miles of here -but they do have great bread! Thanks Cooks4_6 for posting. Made for PRMR tag.

I am originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved to Ohio in 1978. It was quite a culture shock going from the city to living next to the Amish. I spend most of my time cooking, cleaning and caring for my four kids. I have abandoned cookbooks and now cook from favorite, wilted recipe pages and the internet. I fell in love with my Italian family recipes (Scavo, Rotella, Scalzo, Micelli, Grande, Gigliotti) and my Mom's homecooked meals.
