Papa Hoban's Sloppy Joes

  • Heat oil in pan.
  • Fry off beef and onions in a pan.
  • Drain the beef and onions - return to stove.
  • Crumble in stock cube, stir in to beef.
  • Add tomato soup (remember condensed makes double!); stir.
  • Now drip in Tabasco sauce one drip at a time. tasting all the while. add until you think it is hot enough for you and your family.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Then add a teaspoon of flour to absorb any fat that may have still come out the beef.
  • Finally scoop into the hamburger buns, and enjoy!
  • NB: This recipe is really good if you add about 350g of pasta into the sauce and leave out the hamburger buns. it makes a really nice hotdish.
