  1. Wash and dry lettuce. Tear into bite sized pieces and place in salad bowl.
  2. Halve and peel the papaya. Scope out the seeds and save 2 tablespoons. Slice the papaya.
  3. Combine dressing ingredients and papaya seeds in a blender until the papaya seeds have the appearance of ground papper.
  4. Store dressing in refrigerator.
  5. Just before serving, add papaya and red onion slices to lettuse.
  6. Pour dressing over salad and toss.
