"This is a Hungarian side-dish, quick to make in a large frying pan. Goes well with fried mushrooms, schnitzel and lecso (capsicum stew)."

  • Fry the onions in oil until brown.
  • Take off the heat and stir in the paprika (if you don’t take it off it goes bitter).
  • Put back on the heat stir in the potatoes and seasonings and cook until it stops sizzling, then serve.
