Pasta Al Forno

"This is a great, Italian recipe. You can make it with meat or without for a vegetarian meal. Got it out of a magazine. Prep. time is more if your meat is not cooked."

  1. This pasta was wonderful! I used feta cheese, chicken and frozen broccoli. I loved how the pasta soaked up the sauce after baking. I also added sauteed onions and garlic, and added some fresh herbs to the sauce. Thanks!

  2. I LOVED this recipe! I added Italian sausage, garlic and basil and instead of the breadcrumb topping I used the left over mozzarella cheese. It was amazing!

  3. So yummy! I used 1.25lbs of ground beef and used fat free cottage cheese, spinach and bow tie pasta. I didn't have any bread crumbs so omitted that part. This was delicious!

  4. Yummy and super easy! I used about .75 lb of ground beef browned with garlic and onion along with rotini, spinach, ricotta, and I added in a can of diced tomatoes. My husband and boys liked it and went back for seconds! I'll definitely be making this again!

  5. Yummy! Molto Gusto!!! I cook for a very discerning client, and this was absolutely perfect! I made mine with half ground beef and half Italian sausage. I really enjoyed this especially with the addition of the spinach and crumb topping. The only way that I could see this recipe not having flavor as one reviewer has said, is if your marinara doesn't have any flavor. I used Hunt's Spaghetti Sauce, and tasted everything before I baked it and everything was delicious!

  2. This was pretty good. I used the broccoli instead of the spinach and used the Boca "meat" crumbles instead of ground beef to make it meatless. Super easy to make!

I am a Christian wife and mother of 3 kids. Since my DH's high cholesterol, we've been eating better. I never used to like cooking. Since eating better, I've liked learning and preparing new recipes. My kids haven't reconciled themselves to the new eating yet. I grind my own grain and make all my own breads.?Working 2 hours a day in the local high school lunch room.??I am homeschooling my high schooler.? ?Also found out 1 child has multiple food allergies (wheat, dairy, tomato, chocolate, etc) and another is gluten sensitive. So, we just started (July 09) eating gluten and dairy free. I've been busy with getting our house market ready, even though it's not the best time for that.?
