- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄4 lb sweet Italian sausage, 1 link (casings removed and discarded)
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 3 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder, dissolved in 3 cups hot water
- 1 (14 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1⁄2 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1⁄8 teaspoon onion salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces ditalini
- 1 (19 ounce) can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
- 1⁄4 cup grated parmesan cheese
directions
- In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium high heat. Crumble sausage into saucepan; cook, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute.
- Add dissolved bouillon, tomatoes, Italian seasoning, onion salt and pepper. Bring to boiling over high heat. Stir in pasta. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender, 10 to 11 minutes.
- Stir in beans; cook until beans are heated through, about 1 minute. Serve topped with Parmesan cheese.
