Pasta With Tuna, Bacon, and Broccoli

"I know how this sounds, but it is actually a really great combination. You can change it up by adding chicken, shrimp or scallops. I also like sauted mushrooms in it. It's great for left over spaghetti noodles when you're tired of plain old marinara."

  1. I think this has a lot of potential, but I am not sure that the broccoli is the right vegetable for this. To me, broccoli should be with a cream sauce. I think spinach might go well here, and some chopped tomatoes as well.

  2. I really wanted to like this alot. It is simple and every ingredient sounds great. However, we felt that it was really very dry. It had good tastes and ingredients, but lacked that 'something'. It wouldn't make it as healthy, I understand, but it needs more of a sauce - maybe a low-fat cream of something soup? It's a good basic recipes that needs to be refined. Thanks for posting Little Mommy.

I am married and I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter and my little guy was born in December. I'm an office manager for a construction company and my husband does floor installation and trim carpentry. The kitchen is where my inner "domestic diva" comes out. Too bad it doesn't also come out in organizing... I tend to be busy during the week with friends, church functions and family so I usually have quickie meals, but on weekends (especially Sundays) I make more time consuming meals. My hobbies are (of course) cooking, reading, more cooking, and playing with my kids. My husband and I love to get together with couples from our church (many of them he grew up with!) and we play games, eat and have great times!
