Pastor's Wassail

"I am not a big fan of warm or hot drinks, but this one hits the spot for me. It is from an old cook booklet of mine that contains Civil War recipes!!! This is great for holiday parties!!! It is said that when you serve wassail, you should say "Wass hael", which means "to be whole" or "be well""

  1. I'm not going to give it any stars bcz this drink may be wonderful to someone else. It was a little strong for me. Even my husband said it needed to be "sweetened up" and that may have been the way I prepared it. I let the syrup cool too much b4 combining with the rest of the ingredients and it was hard to combine. I think I need to give up fixing mulled wine and wassail! It always comes out too strong! :)
