Pawpaw Cookies With Black Walnuts

"Pawpaw fruit (also called Ohio banana, Kentucky banana, or custard apple) grows wild in natural forests in North America. It resembles mango in shape and texture and, like mango, is chock full of vitamin C. Paired with black walnuts, pawpaw cookies are a delicious snack that you can make from locally-acquired ingredients. Who knows? You might have one of this nutritional and culinary treasure trove in your own backyard!"

  1. If I could give this zero stars I would. I made this exactly as indicated. Number one you definitely cannot roll this into balls... number two when I did bake as it was they were like discs of rubbery bread. I am really aggravated at the waste of ingredients. The first photo is the cookie AFTER it was cooked, then I rolled into a ball. Probably good for carp or catfish bait only.

I am a Spanish teacher and my favorite thing to cook is a slow baked Lima bean casserole with herbs de provence. I also love cooking dairy-free with cashew cream.
