  • 13 cup oil
  • 1 (21 ounce) can peach pie filling

directions

  • Mix cake mix, eggs, oil and almond flavoring until smooth. It will be fairly stiff. I found chopping the peaches in the pie filling in half works best. Gently fold pie filling into cake mixture until all is blended. Try not to break the peaches up anymore than necessary. Pour into well greased bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees until cake tests done.
  • Let cool completely in pan before removing from pan.
  • Make glaze to desired consistency and pour over cooled cake.
  • Glaze and serve. Looks lovely with fresh peach slices as a garnish.
  • (You can do the same with a chocolate cake and cherry pie filling, omitting almond flavoring).

  1. Came out GREAT!!!! I made this exactly as directed and I used a fancy bundt pan for the holidays. Very moist and delicous. The timing is correct also. I will make again. Thanks Milette.

  2. Yum! I didn't have almond extract so I used vanilla instead, and it turned out great. I know that kind of defeats the whole almond cake idea, but peachy-vanilla was awesome! Thank you.

  3. This cake is delicious!! So moist, we had it gone in a day! Definite keeper here, Thanks Milette

I love to cook, my family loves to cook, my friends (most of them) love to cook and so we cook a lot! My husband and I love to entertain and he is remodeling our kitchen as we speak. We live in a victorian style home built in 1910. It was my Mother's home and she built a large garden room on which was partially open to the kitchen. We took all the walls out from the garden room to a small dining room next to the kitchen. We will have new cabinets, appliances, and a sit-up bar on either side. I can hardly wait! February 2007. The kitchen is done, it's unbelievalbe! Besides the two bars we have a small island in the middle with a marble top for baking and one end hold my small wine refrigerator. Wine & bread always go together. Steve built the cabinets of alder wood and the upper north cabinets have glass doors. I am able to display my Mother's 100+ year old crystal. New appliances all round have made me a very happy cook! (We've also gained about 10 pounds)!
