  • 3 cups fresh peaches, sliced (about 4 large)
  • 14 cup orange juice
  • 34 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 12 teaspoon orange rind, grated
  • 18 teaspoon ground allspice

  • In a medium saucepan, combine peach slices and orange juice; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 8 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Place peach mixture into a blender or food processor; cover and process until smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides.
  • Return peach mixture to saucepan; add sugar, honey, orange rind, and allspice. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered for 25 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  • Spoon into jars; cover and store in the refrigerator.

  1. Was gonna check to see how much this recipe made, but we got so involved with tasting & testing & tasting & testing that I forgot! However, I do know that it's great on pancakes & banana bread & really great on whole grain toast! Also great in a chicken wrap! Definitely a keeper of a recipe! Thanks for sharing it! <p>Hi! Thank you for visiting my About Me page. I live in northern California (about 2 hours north of Sacramento). My husband and I live on 10 acres where we grow alfalfa and have a small family orchard of fruit and nut trees. We also have 2 horses, 2 cats, a Dexter cow and calf, and 13 chickens.<br /><br />I am married to a wonderful guy (since 1979), and we have two terrific kids.
