  1. I have to admit that I’m not the most expert cook or baker in the kitchen but knowing that husband die for sweet things I decided to try this new easy recipe and it turns so good . I did some modifications to the original recipe because I didn’t have 14 oz of evaporated milk neither 28 oz of peaches , so I did half of the ingredients and it work perfect with a little more the time in the oven until it was bubbling nicely. I definitely recommend it. It’s yummy, smells so good and tastes like heaven ( I never have been there but I can imagine) thanks again.

  4. This is so different & easy to make & everyone loved it! It's so unique your guests will think you just came up with it on the fly as mine did. Cake crust, custard & peaches... how could you go wrong? I served this for dessert after a meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy & all the fixen's... very southern.. & all were pleased.

  5. I love this. I'm a custard kind of gal so this was right up my alley. I added some cinnamon and sugar to the flour mixture, I'm sure it would be good with or without it. I also mixed brown sugar and white sugar together for the one cup of sugar. Everything else I did as written. It took my custard about 45-50 minutes to set but that is probably my picky german oven. The custard bubbled up and browned a little in places and was just great with the slight peachy taste. Thanks alot for this I'll make it again.

Tweaks

  1. I don't use white refined sugars anymore so I replaced that with 1/4 cup of honey, used gluten free flour, lactose free butter and sea salt for the crust; organic peaches and evaporated milk. It is delicious!!!
