Peach Habanero Jam

"I had some peaches to use and we like that Pepper Jam over Cream cheese so thought I'd try to come up with a recipe to make a hot peach jam.. It came out Yummy!! Be sure to wear gloves when cutting peppers!!"

  • 1 34 cups peaches, mashed
  • 12 cup hot bell pepper, chopped small (I used 2 Habaneros peppers and then top off with Jalapeà o peppers)
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 4 cups white sugar
  • 1 Sure-Jell

directions

  • Place your fruit and peppers in a pan. Simmer 8 minutes.
  • Add 1 cup of cider vinegar. Bring to boil.
  • Add Pectin (6 TBL or 1 box). Bring to boil.
  • Add 4 cups sugar,,,,, boil hard for 2 minutes.
  • Put in hot jars with hot lids and rings. Tighten down hard.
  • Turn upside down on towel and cover with another towel till cooled.
