"I've been baking these since I was a little girl. Nothing better than a glass of milk and a couple of warm peanut butter cookies!"

  • Add the rest of the ingredients.
  • Mix well.

Questions & Replies

  1. Have you made these with chunky peanut butter? My mom is wanting that.

  2. Would it work if I tried to double the recipe?I would like to know as soon as possible, if you must try first, do it quickly. An obviously showing answer would be nice.Thank You.(: :)It seems like a recipe for 1, not 4!!!(:O OOH Ooh OOH Ooh, like my profile picture???PLEASE SAY YES PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

  3. How long can I freeze these for?

  4. Seems easy enough, but, how do I get the shapes like the ones in the picture? When Mom makes peanut butter cookies, they have deeper cracks, and all over (like it might with a simple fork press). Also it’s interesting how these are smoothe inside and outside the shapes. Any info on how to make them look like those on the left in the picture would be nice.

  1. I have been looking for a peanut butter cookie recipe that was simple and delicious. It has been a long search and it is now over! As soon as I saw how simple it was I couldn''t wait to make them. They have enough Peanut Butter in them to make you come back for more. I have found that a sugared fork makes the cookies a little sweeter than a floured fork. No matter what this recipe is the best peanut butter cookie i have found.

  2. These turned out very good! I like mine chewy so I kept a close eye on the baking time.

  3. These are a great cookie, smell delicious in the oven and taste even better!

  4. These have a great flavour, however I found 10 mins was too long - my cookies ended up quite dark on the bottom and very crunchy. I prefer a softer, chewier cookie so next time I may chill the dough before baking and will reduce baking time.

  5. I just tried this recipe and the cookies are great!!! I'll be using this one again!!

Tweaks

  1. Peanut butter and baking powder

  2. Instead of using the full amount of flour I only used 1 cup of whole wheat flour since my mixture seemed like any more flour wouldn't incorporate. I added 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips too and that turned out to be the perfect amount. They tasted just like a peanut butter cup.

  3. I added a 1/8 teaspoon baking powder, a trick I saw in a cookbook. It helps them flatten.

  4. Crunchy peanut butter instead of smooth, extra plain flour (unsifted)

  5. My only complaint about these is that they need more peanutbutter flavor, but that is a personal thing. Definitely watch the cooking time, as ten minutes delivers a nice, chewey cookie. I also used sugar in place of the flour on the fork. My husband took two dozen with him on the road, and asked me to make more. Thank you for a wonderful and easy recipe!
