Peanut Butter Jumbos

"From D. Huffer in the Simple & Delicious magazine. I need some place to keep this recipe safe from the recycling bin monitored by DH. They say reduced fat or generic brands of peanut butter are not recommended for this recipe."

  1. These cookies are great. I liked them warm out of the oven but love them the next day at room temp. I made these 2 times because the 1st time I realized in the middle of making them I didn't have enough oatmeal and m&m bits. BTW they were still good that way, but definately better as written. I love that you can really taste the peanut butter.

  2. I found this recipe at Taste of Home. Absolutely loved them. Thanks for posting this great recipe!

  3. EXCELLENT COOKIES !!! The only thing is I wish the kids were gone, because they kept grabbing them as they were cooling. Great peanut butter flavor here !! Great with the m&m's too. Have to make again when the kids school has a bake sale, who would pass up on peanut butter and M&M's. Made for Gimme 5.

  4. These were great! I converted the recipe to 3 dozen cookies which worked out great. I used my 1T cookie scoop and baked for 10 minutes. Like other reviewers noted, these do not spread (not even a little) - I liked my little mound shaped cookies. Very nice texture inside and out - if you wait until the next day until they cool completely, the peanut butter really comes through.

  5. We liked the flavor of these but they didn't spread at all for me. I measured my ingredients carefully so I'm not sure why they didn't turn into pretty cookies like CoffeeB's picture. The ones on my first sheet were very fat and dense. So on the next sheets, I "helped" them by pressing down a bit, thinking they might spread better. But that didn't help much. We still enjoyed them; they were yummy.
