Peanut Butter Krispies

"This recipe was handed down from my great-grandmother. I'm not sure when traditional marshmallow krispie treats came on the scene, but this recipe could have preceded it! These are what I grew up on. I do not like marshmallows, so I find this recipe to be perfect. You can also top with melted chocolate if you like. Original recipe calls for 1 cup sugar, but I found it to be too sweet, so I cut it in half. You may wish to add more."

 3. Thanks for posting a very quick and easy to make treat that my entire family enjoyed! Peanut Butter Krispies are a great alternative to no-bake cookies. I used 3/4 cup sugar and was happy the level of sweetness. Hint: Wet your hands slightly when pressing these treats into the pan.

I live in Northwest Washington. I am a mom of 2 boys, ages 15 and 17. I am 30 something, and my Hubby and I have been married over 18 years. All through high school I worked in a gourmet restaurant. In 4 years I worked my way up from dishy/prep cook to line cook, and even head baker and dessert cook while I was there. I learned many wonderful and useful skills while at that job. I have always enjoyed cooking and baking, but my love for cooking and baking really took off from there. I spent 3 years as a Pampered Chef Consultant to learn great recipes and stock my kitchen.
