  • Large bowl of popped popcorn Boil margarine and honey together to soft ball stage.
  • Add peanut butter; stir well.
  • Pour mixture over large bowl of popcorn and stir to coat evenly.
  • Store in a covered container.

  1. "Yum" is right! I used this recipe with a cooking group in a nursing home. I cooked the ingredients in a microwave, and put a few spoonfuls into quart-size zip-top bags along with the popcorn. (The bag was about half-full of popcorn in order to have room to shake it.) Then, each participant shook their bag to mix their own popcorn & get it coated with the peanut butter mixture. Everyone loved it. I'll be making this again soon- thanks for sharing!
     
  2. I have tried two peanut butter popcorn recipes now - this one and another made with corn syrup. This one is definitely better. Just make sure to use unsalted popcorn or it will be too salty. I used a microwave-size bag of plain popcorn and butter instead of margarine. I only needed about 3/4 of the peanut butter sauce. Thanks for the recipe!
