Peanut Chews - Middle School Treat No-Baking

"This was a treat we use to get in middle school at lunch time. My mother knew the school room lunch lady and gave her the recipe and I have been making them over 30 years and shared the recipe with my friends and co-workers. Try them and let me know how your family likes them."

  • Put all ingredients except for corn flakes in a big pot and bring to a slow boil stirring constantly or it will burn on bottom. Once to a boil take off burner and put on a cool burner. Slowly add corn flakes till totally covered. Spoon onto non-stick cookie sheet or waxed paper. Mixture will be hot to handle. Once cooler form them more into balls so they stay together better and for easier storage. Makes approximately 40 balls. Enjoy, they don't last long.

Hi my name is Candy and a wife and mother of 2 terrific girls. One is going to college to be a nurtricianist and the younger one wants to be a paramedic one day but also loves to cook. Rachel Ray is her idle. I want to cook better than I do but time is limited so fast and easy with little ingredients is what I look for.
