1. Thank you so much for this recipe. All of the cobblers I have made in the past have been a bit more entailed and alot more time consuming. This one is so easy and just as good if not better than the others I've made!! I expect it to work with other fruits as well. Thanks again!!

  2. This recipe was very easy to follow and make. My family really enjoyed this as a surprise dessert. I will make this recipe again for my co-workers, because I am sure they will enjoy eating this delicious dessert just as my family did.

  3. Made this recipe again, less butter definitely improved the balance of the dish (we used about 1 1/2 ounces of butter). Also leaving the pears & sugar to stand longer was good (about 1 hour) & didn't add the excess sugar this time.

  4. Excellent! A neighbor had a bunch of extra pears and we were trying to figure out to do with them. We found this recipe and were so happy with the way it turned out. Easy!

  5. This was a super simple recipe! I just used canned pears *gasp*, which made for quick prep time! I still used a whole, yes.. a whole stick of butter, and slightly heaped one of the 3/4c of flour measurements. In addition to the 1/2c of sugar mixed with the pears I added a dash or two of cinnamon. Finally, after I spooned the pears on top of the batter I sprinkled some oats for good measure! I am going back for seconds (as I put my bowl down to write this review!), and will totally make this again in the future! ^^ **I should also note that I used a 2.5 quart casserole dish. I believe that helped spread and evenly cook the batter, resulting in a fully fluffed and cooked cobbler!

The little cutie here is Martha, the sweet lady I was blessed to have worked with for two years. Martha passed away on 12/3/08. Martha and I would ride endlessly during the holidays, and she would sing carols and laugh and just enjoy it so much. I know this holiday season, she will be with her brother, son and mother and finally be "home". Martha, I still love you more. ******* I'm a simple girl, born of good stock. I'm the mamma of two spoiled tuxedo cats: Beauregard and Patches (the one who's been drinking eggnog). They love cuddling together, and this picture is taken on my hall steps. I'm a firm believer in LOA. I need to get more dedicated to daily practice. Below is a film that explains it, and is wonderful. I highly recommend it. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* This is Beau enjoying his computer. He's quite good at deleting messages, making the desktop disappear (as is his brother). As of 10/1/06, this is how I'll rate recipes. I will be changing some previous reviews. 5*~~Outstanding recipe--the best of the best here. 4*~~Something I find delicious; will make often; would serve to guests. 3*~~Something I might fix again; enjoyed; needed something added before I try again 2*~~Something I could finish, but would never try again, regardless of additions or subtractions 1*~~Could not finish it; would not even make possums suffer with this (I haven't found many of these--only one of my own that I grabbed from the internet!!)
