ingredients

  • 1 medium ripe pear (bartlett or anjou)
  • 12 cup crushed ice
  • 14 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 cup apple juice
  • 12 cup milk (I use 2%)

directions

  • Peel pear and cut in pieces.
  • Put in blender.
  • Add apple juice and cinnamon.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Add ice.
  • Blend until mixed.
  • With blender running, add milk.
  • Blend until foamy.
  • Serve immediately.

  1. I didn't care for this. I'm not sure whether my pear was just "bland", or it was just my tastes. I'm not gonna rate it, because since others rated it so high, i'm gonna guess it was my pear, or me. Maybe a higher quality pear? Maybe i just like chocolate too much?
     
  2. It was fabulous, thick,& creamy. Great for this morning which was a cool and crisp Autumn morning. The cinnamon gave it that warming feeling even though we were drinking a fruity milk shake. I put it all into my vita mix pear, seeds, skin, and all the rest of the ingredients. Which I did double with a whole tray of ice cubes. Thanks!!!
     
  3. My daughter asked for a pear smoothie. How could I say now? This is the first recipe I found and it is great! All the ingredients were ones I had on hand and it was easy to make. Tastes great!

  4. I just made this in the afternoon and it makes me want to go to sleep and wake up so I can have that fresh morning feeling! I even left out the cinnamon and ice and thought it was a lovely recipe. I'll definately make this again VERY soon!
     
  5. Very good, It was a bit bland but I added 1/4 a cup of sugar and it was fantastic.
