Pecan Chocolate Chippers

ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups pecans, chopped coarsely
directions
- Beat butter until fluffy.
- Add sugars, vanilla and salt.
- Beat another 1 to 2 minutes until well combined.
- Add eggs and beat until blended.
- Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt until combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
- Form 1 1/2 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet (cookies only spread slightly while baking) Press each ball down about half way.
- Bake at 350° for 6-8 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool on wire rack.

I love to knit, smock, sew, etc., but my favorite hobby of the moment is traditional rug hooking. This is a sample of what I do.? It's called "November".? I dyed most of the wool myself. It is made from wool flannel, cut into strips a little less than 1/4" and then worked into a linen backing. This is my 3rd rug.
