Peppermint Liqueur

  • 1 14 cups sugar
  • 1 14 cups water
  • 2 12 cups brandy
  • 3 drops peppermint oil
  • 3 drops green food coloring (optional)

directions

  • Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir to dissolve the sugar.
  • Stir in the peppermint oil and green food coloring if using.
  • Allow to cool slightly before stirring in brandy.
  • Pour into a bottle and seal.
  • Tastes best after a couple of weeks.

  1. This was good. WAY too good... I didn't have peppermint oil, so I added a few drops of peppermint extract instead. I don't know how it's going to taste in a few weeks because it's halfway gone now ;) Thanks for the recipe! Made for ZWT4.

We shared all the favorites that had been passed down through the generations as well as new favorites. <br> My biggest pet peeve is picky eaters who refuse to try anything new. It bothers me more with adults than with kids, but I love that my six year old will eat just about anything I put in front of him.
