  1. I LOVE this recipe. It was so addictive. Next time I'll fill it with so many different pizza toppings and maybe serve with some pizza sauce on the side. I can't wait to make it again.

  2. Fantastic! I made this for the first time today, and it was great. Instead of making 1 roll out of the bread dough, I made 2 smaller ones. I also only left it in the oven 30 minutes. Served with brocoli soup. Big hit.

  3. Have been making this for 20+ years. I do layers of cheese-usually mozzarella and provolone alternated with layers of pepperoni. It is a required holiday appetizer with marinara sauce for dipping. I either make my own dough or get canned pizza dough. Easy peasy recipe!

  4. I needed a quick dinner so decided on this. This was good and easy to make. I did have some problems with the dough sticking so next time I would lay some flour down before rolling out the dough. I didn't use the egg or the italian seasoning. I added parmesan cheese to the top. Mine cooked in about 20-25 minutes. This was good but when we added Recipe #255242 for dipping it was a five star recipe.

  5. I know I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack, but I actually had trouble making this. The bread dough needed lots of flour to keep it from sticking and the first loaf I made I actually had to throw away, as it wound up a doughy nasty mess. However, I persevered and did pretty well on the second loaf using plenty of flour to keep it from sticking. I used some Prego spaghetti sauce, threw in some fresh mushrooms and black olives, as well. Honestly, I didn't have very high hopes but was pleasantly surprised! I was very good and the whole house loved it! I'll make notes for next time, probably try the Pillsbury french loaves in the biscuit section and add some extra cheese. All-in-all, I was very happy with how this turned out.

Tweaks

  1. I couldn't find frozen bread dough at my store, so I used two cans of Pillsbury pizza dough instead. I just unrolled each dough and filled and rolled according to the instructions. It turned out perfect!

  2. Everyone enjoyed this, and I'll definitely be making it again! Instead of using frozen bread, I made up a batch of dough in the bread machine. (recipe ID# 96475). I misread the recipe, and used 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese instead of 1/4 cup, but DH said he liked it with the extra cheese! Just as noted by the other reviewers, mine only took about 25 minutes to bake. Five stars!
