Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients except butter and water in a large bowl.
  2. Stir in butter and flour to make thick batter.
  3. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Turn into a buttered 1 1/2 qt.
  5. casserole dish and let rise for 30-45 minutes,until doubled.
  6. Bake at 275 degrees F, about 35 minutes.
  7. Let set in pan for a few minutes,.
  8. then turn out onto rack and let cool before slicing.
