Perfect Chocolate Chip Pie
"I searched for this recipe for years after having the most perfect chocolate chip pie while I was in the hospital, of all places. I have tried making so many different chocolate chip pies, derby pies, kentucky nut pies, etc, etc, etc, BUT none of them were right! Finally, a gentleman at work brought this delicious pie to work for a Christmas party, and I snagged the recipe from him. And it turns out perfect every time!"

ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup butter, melted and cooled
- 2 eggs, beaten hard
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 3⁄4 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup plain flour
- 1 pie crust, unbaked
directions
- Please make sure the butter (or margarine) has been melted and then cooled.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Mix cooled butter, eggs, vanilla, pecans and chocolate chips.
- In a separate bowl, mix together sugar and flour; add to the butter mixture.
- Pour into the unbaked pie shell.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
