Reviews

  1. I loved this cake so much! It's incredibly moist and had such a great flavor to it! Perfect dessert if you're not one for overly sweet treats.

  2. I was a bit worried about this cake when I was cooking it as it seemed quite liquid even after 30 minutes in the oven but it firmed up beautifully when it cooled. Because it was for a teenager's birthday, I sprinkled icing sugar, nutmeg and grated chocolate on top and decorated it with lavender flowers. It was superb and easy to make. Thanks for posting this recipe. I must pass it on to my gluten free Mum.

Tweaks

  1. I topped it with a bit of edible rose petals once cooled just to give it a bit of an extra flair, and I've seen this cake decorated like that before so I wanted to give it a try!
