Pesto Orzo With Peas

"Orzo, or Rosamarina, is a rice-shaped pasta that cooks quickly. Adding the peas and pesto gives it a nice flavor. It makes a nice side dish to grilled chicken, oven-baked pork chops or anything you can think of."

  1. Thanks for posting Pam! This is a very mild flavored side dish that would be good for any palate. It was nice as written. My husband and I felt something was missing flavor-wise but couldn't put our finger on it but even so we enjoyed it. The kids ate it as there was no strong overpowering spice or taste. After eating it the way it was written, I tried topping it with some fresh grated parmesan and it was good too. Perfect for when you want a side dish to be a sidekick for the main dish and not take over it yet be well received. Enjoy. ChefDLH

  3. I did not like this at all. It is very bland so I spiced it up a bit but to no avail. Could just be my taste buds. My husband said it was OK but not something he would have to have again.

  4. I made this for my family at easter and it was a huge hit! I substituted asparagus for the peas just because I saw it at the store, it was pretty, and I wanted to use it :) My mom liked it so much that she made it the following week and took it to a party hosted by some friends and it was a hit once agian.
