Philadelphia 3-Step Pumpkin Cheesecake

"This is "cheesecake for dummies"! I found this recipe on kraftfoods.com and it is the easiest way to making a cheesecake other than buying it. People who don't like pumpkin pie will love this! Pumpkin Pie Spice can be used in place of the cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Cooking time includes refrigeration time!"

  1. I can vouch for this one. This recipe makes a simple but very good pumpkin cheesecake that will get you lots of compliments at parties. I started making this from the recipe inside the Philly box in the 1990s, and it was my go-to recipe for many years. It's not too sweet, has a nice texture, smells wonderful, is predictable, and, best of all, it's easy. We never wanted pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving after tasting this. If you're new to baking cheesecakes, this is the place to start. When you're ready to take on something more sophisticated, try the Cook's Illustrated Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake. It's divine.

  2. Very tasty cheesecake, I've been using this recipe from the Kraft website for a couple of years. We love Pumpkin Pie but wanted a change and this is a very nice change. Very easy to make as well.

  3. You should rename it 7-step cheesecake, since there are 7 steps. ;)

  4. We LOVED this. I use a few different recipes for pumpkin cheesecake but this one is so easy and quick. The flavor is great! Thank you so much for posting a keeper! Made for PAC Fall 2008.

  5. Made for PAC Spring 08 LOVED this recipe! Very easy to make! 40 minutes was perfect and the cheese cake was wonderful! I did use pumpkin pie spice instead of the separate spices. Per my family's tastes I added a bit more sugar and spice then called for but it was very good! When my husband says "WOW!" You know it was good! He LOVES Pumpkin Pie so this was a real treat! Thanks a bunch will make again!!

Mother of 3 great kids - 17, 15 and 13 months! Yes I am a little crazy. I recently learned to cook when my mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2001(whom we recently lost this past October 2007). <img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y120/peacefulnightdove/stpatchallenge.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <a href="http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b161/tisht/?action=view¤t=tish2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b161/tisht/tish2.jpg" border="0" alt="Recipezaar Challenge 2008"></a>
