  1. Cook potatoes till fork tender in a stock pot just covering the potatoes in water.
  2. Cut velveeta into 1" cubes.
  3. Saute onions in 1 1/2 sticks of butter.
  4. With an electric mixer beat cooked potatoes.
  5. add Velveeta, mix well. .
  6. Add half the sauteed onions to potato mixture.
  7. Butter 9x12" baking dish.
  8. Place one layer of cooked lasagna noodles on bottom of dish.
  9. alternating layers with potato mixture, onions, ending with lasagna noodles on top.
  10. Brush top layer with 1/2 stick of melted butter.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
