  1. I've been making this cake for years but I have few variations. I drain the oranges as they arent canned in juice but rather syrup and the cake is sweet enough. I drain and reserve the juice from the pineapple (i always get the kind canned in %100 juice) and replace the water in the cake mix with the juice. I add one can of drained crushed pineapple and one drained 15 Oz can of mandarin oranges to the cake mix. I like the butter yellow instead of the regular yellow. I also add a second drained can of crushed pineapple to the cool whip frosting. Idk in my family we've always added the pineapple to both the cake and the frosting. This cake is simple and by far one of the most moist, refreshing, delicious cakes I've ever had. Every time I bring it to a party there's none left and everyone is asking for the recipe. You won't be disappointed

  3. I forgot to review this cake! I made this cake 3 times in a one month period of time! Everyone loved it!!! As an added plus, it's so easy to make!!! I can practically make it with my eyes closed now. I've added a little toasted coconut and/or chopped pecans on the top for a little something extra. Thank you so much for posting this recipe!
