"This recipe is so easy to make, the pineapple gives it a little kick and it is not as sweet as traditional frostings."

  1. I had this at a potluck dinner last nite, on a sponge cake. It was absolutely delicious!! What a neat, and quick way to make a really special dessert. The maker of the one I had last nite cut the sponge cake into two layers, put half the frosting in the middle and covered the outsides with the rest, and then scattered some strawberries, and blueberries around the top.. very lightly.. not enough to be overbearing. I have hunted for an hour for this frosting, so I am very glad to find it on Zaar! I should have come here first instead of going thru all those cookbooks I have. Thank you very much, and those who haven't discovered your recipe are really missing a special treat. I might add tho, the one I had did not have milk added to it...only the 3 ingredients...plus liquid from the crushed pineapple.
