  • 16 ounces canned pineapple chunks
  • 4 ounces pineapple-orange juice, frozen concentrate
  • 8 ounces vanilla yogurt
  • 4 ounces water
  • 4 ice cubes

  1. Orange and pineapple are great flavor combinations and adding the yogurt makes this a creamy fresh tasting smoothie. I did not need to add the water with the juice from the pineapples. Easy and refreshing! Made and reviewed for the Culinary Quest 2016 - Bahamas.
     
  2. This smoothie made me feel like I should be on the beach some place warm! So enjoyed it and could see how it could even be transformed as an "adult" drink by adding some rum (maybe even some coconut Malibu rum). I think I'll try that with some of my remaining drink. I'm sure making this again especially in summertime. I think I'll hollow out a pineapple and fill'r'up. Thank you Diner524 for a yummy, fun experience.

  5. Great smoothie, and terrific way to get those 'fruit' servings into your kids! I did scale back the recipe to one, and added a greek vanilla yogurt, to up the 'goodness' factor. I also used canned pineapple, but had no trouble blending it up. I really liked this smoothie, and it is in my 'make again' book! Thanks for sharing, diner524!

I don't like to cook things that require going to specialized grocery stores. I subscribe to several cooking magazines, that usually, require everyday on-hand ingredients. <br /><br />I am not very fond of most seafood, but do enjoy lobster, grilled shrimp and chilean sea bass. I won't cook anything with rosemary or curry, as I really don't like either herbs' flavor.
