Pineapple Upside Down Cake

"This is one of my favorite recipes of all times. I have had it for at least 30 years and use it frequently. One of her friends is going to be 89 and he loves this recipe and I was asked for it"

  • Preheat oven to 350° .
  • Pour melted butter in 13 x 9 pan .
  • Sprinkle on the brown sugar.
  • Lay the pineapple rings evenly over the brown sugar. If there are any left break into pieces and fill in the spaces in the pan .
  • Combine cake mix, eggs,  milk and oil and mix well with an electric mixer for two minutes on medium speed until batter is smooth .
  • Pour batter evenly over pineapple and brown sugar.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes or until cake tests done .
  • Let cake cool in pan for 30 minutes .
  • place cake platter over pan and invert cake onto cake platter.
