Directions

  1. Cook the potatoes with salt until done.
  2. Drain into a colander.
  3. Cook the carrots separately with some sugar and salt until tender.
  4. Drain into the colander.
  5. In one of the pots add the butter and melt and saute the onion till tender.
  6. Add the flour and cook one minute.At this point stir in the milk.
  7. Add the potatoes and the carrots and Mash together until smooth.
  8. Add the salt and pepper and some garlic or onion powder if desired.
