ingredients
- 2 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1⁄2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons milk
directions
- All ingredients should be at room temperature.
- Sift together flour, soda, and salt.
- Cream together butter, shortening, sugar, and vanilla.
- Add egg. Mix until fluffy.
- Stir in dry ingredients until smooth.
- Blend in milk.
- Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet.
- Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in suger.
- Bake at 375 degrees 10-12 minutes. Cool.
