Piranha

"This is one of those deceptive cocktails that tastes relatively harmless, but in fact packs quite a bite, much like the predatory flesh-eating fish after which it is named. From "The Ultimate Book of Cocktails" by Stuart Walton"

  1. Since everyone was stating in their reviews that the Creme de Cacao was making the drink too sweet, I figured that really wasn't what was making it sweet. So I chose to use diet coke and the drink was just right. It reminds me of a chocolate ice cream soda. Thanks for posting! Made for Summer '09 Photo tag.

  2. I wasn't sure what kind of cola to use, so ended up using coke. I agree the creme de cacao was a little too overpowering in this drink. It was tasty, but not really what I was hoping for. Should I have used a different kind of cola?

  3. This has a great taste but another time I'll use half the amount of creme de cacao cause it was too sweet for me. Thanks Crafty Lady. Made for Bevy tag

<p>Update: &nbsp;I have changed my profile picture in honor of my dear best friend and loyal companion that I lost to cancer on 6/25/11. Maxx was the best dog that anyone could ever hope to have in their life. &nbsp;Until we meet again, sweet boy, you will be forever in my heart and memories. I currently live in the country with two dogs (a 12 pound&nbsp;poodle mix&nbsp;named Suki and a new member to the family, a 7-month old(?) 7.5 pound terrier mix named Angel ). &nbsp; I got Angel from the dog pound a week after I lost my beloved Maxx. &nbsp;Suki and I both needed a new companion to help us cope with our loss. &nbsp;Nothing will ever replace Maxx, but she has helped to uplift Suki's spirit.
