Pizza Bianca

"This is a quick and easy side that can complement almost any meal. I served this at an Italian themed Christmas Dinner with Recipe #120737, Recipe #228972, along with veggies (zucchini and asparagus) and a green leafy salad. Everyone went crazy over this bread, even the kids. From "Every Day Italian" on Food Network."

directions

 • Position the oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 450 degrees.
 • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface, to 1/2 inch thick.
 • Transfer the dough to a heavy large baking sheet. Using a fork, pierce the dough all over.
 • Drizzle the oil over the dough. Sprinkle with thyme and salt.
 • Bake until golden, about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cut into serving size wedges.
 • Note: When I made this, I added crushed garlic to the oil before brushing it onto the dough, and I after sprinkling the thyme, I also sprinkled on some parmesan cheese.

 1. Just finished making this for Sunday football game time. I agree with the previous reviewer, the topping was more like a topping for focciaccia but either way, it's delicious. Easy to put together, and I also used a bit of minced garlic mixed with the oil and parm cheese. Great!

 2. The name is kinda misleading to me, I thought this was going to be more of a pizza but it is more of a foccacia bread. I used bread from Recipe #239074 and made about half a batch of this. This went great with Recipe #219798 for an excellent dinner! Very good recipe!

 3. Looks like the picture showed but not my review so i will try again. This was wonderful! I added crushed rosemary with the thyme as well as garlic, and used a foccaccia recipe i had for the dough. I ate half of it, but will be using the other half for a panini tomorrow :)

I live in Los Angeles County. Married 25 years. 3 kids ages 24, 21 and 12. I'm a math professor and a computer tech. The picture above is me running in the Los Angeles Marathon (the first time I did it) on March 4, 2007. I'm smiling because the picture was taken at mile 3. I wasn't smiling by the end. LOL. I've since done the Long Beach Marathon in Oct. 2007 and I did L.A. again in March 2008. The third time was the trick. I finally had a good race and I qualified to run the Boston Marathon which I did in April 2009. Now I'm into triathlon, since summer 2009. Besides cooking/baking I've recently started knitting again (Jan. 2008) and can be found at Ravelry.com most days.
