Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions (I salt the water).
  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef, mushrooms, and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  3. Add in tomato puree, pepperoni, sugar (to taste), and seasonings; cook and stir for 5 minutes.
  4. Drain pasta, stir into meat mixture.
  5. Heat through; taste for seasoning and adjust.
  6. Sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Remove from heat; cover and let stand until cheese is melted.
