- 4 pork chops
- 500 g tinned plums
- 1 onion
- oil
- black pepper
directions
- DRAIN PLUMS AND RESERVE SYRUP.
- CHOP ONION.
- BRUSH CHOPS& PUT UNDER HOT GRILL FOR ABOUT 10 MINS.
- MEANWHILE FRY ONION IN OIL TILL SOFT, THEN ADD REST OF SYRUP.
- BOIL FOR FEW MINUTES THEN ADD PLUMS& PEPPER.
- SIMMER GENTLY TURN CHOPS& GRILL FOR ANOTHER 10 MINUTES, BASTING AS NECESSARY.
- SERVE PLUMS WITH CHOPS& POUR SAUCE OVER.
- GOES WELL WITH POTATO WEDGES.

I had my own business until end of 95 I was ill for a couple of years and off work. Fed up I started messing about in the kitchen and trying dishes my (used to be ) unadventurous wife wouldn't. I have to take account that I'm also type 2 diabetic and leave out the sweet stuff,(except as a treat) but this has made the spicy dishes more atractive.I love going to the excellent Fish market in Birmingham. Recently, having guests, I bought a full salmon for a bargain fiver then had to buy a kettle to cook it which cost £35. Oh well, I will no doubt use it.
