Words cannot describe just how delicious this sauce is. It was quick and easy to make with fantastic results. I loved the spice combination of cloves, ginger, garlic, salt and cayenne pepper. So very flavorful. I used black plums and vanilla sugar and made half the recipe exactly as written wouldn't change a thing. I did use a combination of white vinegar and pear flavored wine vinegar. It worked great in this recipe. Thank you for sharing yet another winner Kathy. Made for June Aussie Swap... 2014!

Had bought two 2-pound containers of red plums the other day & kept half of them for here, cutting the recipe in half! As it was, I had enough to gift to several friends who came by & caught me in the 'process!' SO TASTY & SO VERSATILE, too! I particularly enjoyed it as a dip, but I see many other possibilities, too! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed for one of my groupmates in the Aus/NZ Recipe Swap #38]

Excellent!! This is a great sauce recipe, my son who had seen me making it earlier in the day was hesitant to taste it, but as soon as he did he raved. My hubby told me you could sell this stuff. I loved that I had all the ingredients on hand except for the plums so it was very inexpensive to make and it makes up so much, so it works out way cheaper than buying a ketchup or BBQ sauce from the store and tastes way better too. I served it this time round with little breaded chicken sticks that I made but I will look forward to trying this with sausages and other meats. I added the full teaspoon of cayenne pepper and loved the flavour that this along with the ginger, garlic and clove created. A have not made a sauce before and this is great one to have as a first, so simple and easy and truly tastes wonderful.. The only thing I would ask is how long does this keep in the fridge for? I ask this for myself and others who wish to make this great sauce.. Cheers Kiwi Kathy
